Men of the Word exists to glorify God by equipping and encouraging men to fulfill their God-ordained roles as leaders in the home, the church, and the world. This is accomplished by providing biblical instruction, personal discipleship, genuine fellowship, and spiritual accountability.
Men of the Word focuses on the application of God’s Word to the issues of life men regularly encounter in their spheres of responsibility. It provides a forum where men of younger faith interact with and receive wisdom from those who are more mature in Christ and serves to prepare men for more faithful service to the local church and a more effective witness to the world.
We are currently going through the study: No One Like Him: A Study of God’s Perfection, as taught by Brad Klassen associate professor of Bible exposition at the Master’s Seminary.
At the heart of all spiritual life and vitality is the knowledge of God. Jesus taught this when He stated, “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent” (John 17:3). Nothing is as instrumental in shaping our daily attitudes, influencing our decisions, determining the course of our lives, guiding our relationships, and motivating our worship and obedience as our thoughts about God—and the extent to which these thoughts reflect divine reality is the extent to which we flourish in each of these areas. Recognizing the unparalleled importance of this topic for men, Men of the Word, will devote this upcoming year to an in-depth study of the character of God.
